Forms of Presence on Vimeo
The opening sequence of “Forms of Presence” discloses the perspective of a corridor. Pelts are hanging on both sides as we move in. Portraits of taxidermy animals stare at us through their placid opened eyes, and an age long humility on their faces. The animals dwell in a strange harmony – there, inside a world that can only be envisioned beyond our life experience. Lingering choir like voices, accompany these images reminiscing about historical, mythological and religious, life and death references. The film ends with a corridor locating the basement of a contemporary building.
